Mas Tacos Por Favor is a former taco truck that is now (barely) a bricks and mortar shop. I found it on Eater’s Nashville “Essential 18” list. To my delight, they had not one but TWO vegan/vegetarian taco options. Fried avocado and quinoa with sweet potato. Fun, hipster crowd. Very sparse and rustic seating and a big menu on the wall consisting mostly of $3 tacos. Order and pick up through a window that simulates a taco truck. See pics for the menu. The
Mas Tacos has a young, hipster crowd standing in a fast-moving line along with food truck regulars like construction workers. Very sparse and intentionally rustic seating with a big menu on the wall consisting mostly of $3 tacos. Order and pick up through a window that simulates the taco truck. The talapia and pulled pork were sampled by my dining partner who thought the fish was better. Fried avocado was much better than the quinoa. Funny how the fried options always come out on top?
We split a black bean and plantain side dish, which was plenty, and an iced coffee (quite good). All for just $20. AMAZING.
